Time to rediscover and Listen to God's Voice

Last year, I have taken some time to step back and reflect on the journey of Little Light of Joy Creations. Like many small creative ventures, there are times of excitement and growth but also disappointment. After experiencing a setback with the church craft show last year, I realized it was important to pause, breath and listen the Master of all creations, God.  Thankfully, I have a backbone of steel! This pause allow me to remember what God ask me to do. "Feed my littlest lambs, tell them about Me and place Me in their hearts."  Rather  than rushing forward, I felt is was time to slow down, pray and rediscover the joy of creating again.

During this time, I've begun exploring and experimenting new materials such as air-dry clay and epoxy . I have been spending time improving my sewing and embroidery skills and returning to drawing. My hope is to create new pieces inspired by the saints - simple, meaningful items that can bring faith into everyday life.

Some of the ideas I am exploring include saint-themed stickers, along with small cards that share a short story about the life of each saint, plushies, I Spy book and a saint alphabet book. Another idea is creation Sacred Heart kit for children and adults, where would paint the Sacred Heart plaster with paint provide along with a prayer and information about it.

At the same time, life continues to bring its own demands and challenges. My work is often very busy, and life many people, I am balancing many responsibilities. Because of this, taking a step back has been a important part of the reason to allow a silence space for prayer, creativity and discernment.

In time, I hope to return to sharing my creations more actively through events. If you do see anything in the gallery that interest or inspires you, please sent me an email and I will gladly respond to you.

With God's grace, Little Light of Joy Creations will continue to grow.
